Am 3. Juni 2019 sprach Dr. Hannah Markwig (Universität Tübingen) im Kolloquium des Fachbereichs Mathemtik zum Thema "Curve counting and tropical geometry".
Abstract: The talk will introduce tropical geometry as a tool to study generating functions of counts of curves. Such generating functions appear for example in the context of mirror symmetry. In some cases, they can be related to Feynman integrals, allowing to study quasimodularity properties.
